Mangrove Streptomyces represent a rich source of novel bioactive compounds in medicinal research. A novel alkaloid, named 1-N-methyl-3-methylamino-[N-butanoic acid-3′-(9′-methyl-8′-propen-7′-one)-amide]-benzo[f][1,7]naphthyridine-2-one (1) was isolated from Streptomyces albogriseolus originating from mangrove sediments.
