Compound (4) on reaction with different aromatic acetophenones provided (5a-e) and these compounds on cyclization with hydrazine hydrate 99%, yielded 2-cyclopropyl-3-(3-phenyl-1 H-pyrazol-5-yl)-1,8-naphthyridines (6a-e).
